more of my story

“What happened? I should be asking you,” Verana exclaimed.

“Why?” Thomas asked. He wondered how she had found him.

“Why?” Verana said imitating Thomas again, “Wouldn’t you wonder what happened if you found me floating unconscious through the door?”

“I was wondering how I got back,” Thomas said to himself.

“Got back? Got back from where?” Verana asked. She seemed less annoyed and more interested.

“Well…,” Thomas hesitated. “Promise not to tell anyone?” Verana nodded. “Not even mother?” She nodded again. “Ok…well,” he went on and related what happened to her.

“So what’s your mission?” Verana asked when he was finished.

“I don’t know, the wizards came right when he was about to tell me. I’m going back tonight, though,” Thomas said. Verana didn’t seem to like this plan. She changed the subject.

“What do you think the enchantment was that they cast on you?”

“I don’t know. It was probably meant to be cast on the tree I was in. It doesn’t seem like it has done anything harmful to me.”

“That’s true,” Verana said. They fell silent.

“Maybe…just maybe it was a spell to steal the magic from the trees. So it didn’t hurt you because you don’t have any magic in you,” Verana said.

“Yeah,” Thomas replied. At that moment their mother came up the stairs.

“Thomas! You’re finally awake! Now hurry up you two, we’re just about to discuss Anavard Rionsky!” she said. The name startled Thomas and he hurriedly got out of bed. Their mother left the room.

“You didn’t tell mother about me floating through the door?” Thomas asked as he and Verana got dressed.

“No,” Verana said quietly, “I didn’t want to worry her.” They finished dressing and went downstairs.

Chapter the Sixth

“Now, who here can tell me what Anavard Rionsky is famous for?” their mother asked as Thomas and Verana took their seats. A few hands rose.

“Gheric?” their mother said.

“Anavard Rionsky is famous for his attempts to steal more magic from the remaining enchanted trees that lived in the Borgenam Woods during his lifetime,” Gheric replied.

“Very good, Gheric. Now who can tell me when his lifetime was?” the teacher said. The same hands escalated into the air as earlier.

“Hurrie.”

“Anavard Rionsky lived from 1267 to 1325,” Hurrie stated.

“Excellent,” their mother exclaimed. “And when was the Wizard War?”

“1160,” Hurrie said.

“Fantastic,” their mother said. “So Anavard was born 107 years after the magic left the valley, correct?” A few students nodded their heads.

“Anavard Rionsky was a ‘wizard’ and the only living great grandchild of Foward Rionsky. Foward Rionsky was the first person to have the abominable idea of stealing magic enter his mind. So what does that mean, Thomas?”

“It means that Foward Rionsky was the foundation of the Wizard War,” Thomas said.

“Yes, so you can see where Anavard got the idea of stealing magic from. Anavard read lots of books about the Borgenam Woods and studied hard about The Magic. People thought he was just devoted to his studies, but they were wrong. After his first attempt to steal more magic, Anavard was cursed by one of the trees. The curse was...?”

“Blindness,” Verana blurted.

“Very good Verana, but next time, please raise your hand. Yes, he was blinded. But that did not stop him from trying again. He formed a group of people to help him, seeing as how he couldn’t see.

"Cindy Me and Mrs.Mcmillen would like a word with you," Mr. Mcmillen said as he burst into the attic. Cindy was silent.
"The Carmikes were telling us of a lovely improvement home for young women. They suggested that we send you there." He said with a nasty grin. Cindy opened her mouth ready to insult the carmikes then shut it again.

What do you think? Remember that is just a clip.

ok you guys here is the rest of chapter the sixth:

He formed a group of people to help him, seeing as how he couldn’t see. Of course, all the people he recruited were wizards. Does anybody know how many wizards, or wands, there are?” Gheric, Hurrie and a few others raised their hands.
“Sucrecia?”
“Well, there were only 18 original wands so there can only be 18 wizards at a time, right?”
“You are correct. 18 may not seem like very much, but when it comes to magic it is quite a lot,” their teacher stood up from her teaching stool and started walking around the room. “This concludes our discussion, but I want all of you to write an essay about Anavard’s second attempt. Try to include as many interesting facts as possible. You may use books from our library,” she pointed to the shelves in the corner, “as reference, and as extra credit you can include information on the wizards that were part of his group. If you have any questions, please talk to me. Class dismissed!” Thomas’s mother went back to the front of the room and started putting away her books as her pupils put away theirs.

so here is PART of the next chapter and sarah sorry I don't think its much of a doozy but you might think so:

Chapter the Seventh
After everyone had left, Thomas went to the library and looked for a book about Anavard Rionsky. To his immense surprise, he did not find one.
“That’s strange,” he said and started scanning the shelves again.
“What’s strange?” a voice said. Thomas turned around but did not see anyone.
“Down here, sir,” the voice said. Thomas looked down and saw a squirrel holding a book. “I believe you are looking for this? I am sorry that it wasn’t here right away.” Thomas looked puzzled. “It’s a bit bigger than the other ones,” it added trying to explain. Thomas was speechless. “Oh come on now, I know you can talk. Don’t be shy,” the squirrel continued setting the book down on the floor and pulling out a small stick from inside it. “I am the tree council’s messenger. I have delivered all the books you have been given by them.”
“Oh…thank you,” Thomas said, finally finding words.
“Oh…it’s no problem for me, but I think the trees find it a little hard to know which books, or should I say topics, you want to read about. Especially this time. Well I shan’t be keeping you,” the squirrel said as he tapped the stick on the book. The book lifted off the ground and levitated to Thomas’s arms. Thomas took it out of the air.
“How do they know which books I want to rea…?” Thomas started but found that the squirrel had left. Thomas looked at the cover of the book.
“Anavard Rionsky: an autobiography,” he read aloud. “Autobiography?” he exclaimed. He walked over to his desk, sat down, and opened the book.
“The Great Anavard Rionsky was born on the thirty and first day of July in the year one thousand, two hundred and sixty-seven. He was born to the wizard Greegor Rionsky and his wife Pegunia. Anavard was the great grandchild of Foward Rionsky, the brilliant scholar who first had the idea for humans, the greatest intelligence life there is, to have control of The Magic.
Anavard started out as an ordinary child but soon became one of the greatest humans imaginable!”
“One of the cockiest humans imaginable, more like it,” Thomas thought.
“His father died when he was no more than ten years old so he being the eldest son was the heir to his father’s wand, which was also the wand of the first wizard Foward Rionsky. Anavard was not like the other children any longer and never would be. He was greater than all of the other wizards!” Thomas flipped back to the table of contents. Chapter 10 was called Anavard’s second Attempt and started on page 267. He flipped to that page.
